This an image I shot a while ago on a corner of the Hobart waterfront. You'll see in my Urbanscapes gallery that I have numerous images of this particular corner from a few angles and different lighting conditions (and even some artistic re-imagining of the sky).
I'm a bit of an Architecture nerd, so the angles and juxtaposition of old and new has me fascinated. It seems that I get a new perspective (excuse the pun) when approaching a building through a camera lens... Some of my friends commented that I have an obsession with 'that corner' after I photographed it numerous times in different light. This particular image was taken with my 16mm f1.4 lens - hence the wonky perspective, but I think that just adds to the drama of the corner.
I was also lucky? enough to be on site at the right time to capture the beautiful purple sky(I havent faked it), which always seems to add extra drama to the shot here
And it just draws me back every so often...
